Kigali, Rwanda to host fintech forum for emerging markets in June 2023




Kigali, Rwanda is set to host the Inclusive FinTech Forum (IFF) for emerging markets from June 20-22, 2023. The three-day platform is expected to be a unique forum in bringing policymakers and the private sector together in Africa and is a partner event of the annual flagship Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), one of the biggest FinTech events globally, with over 60,000 participants.

The Inclusive FinTech Forum is co-organised by Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC), Rwanda’s financial centre facilitating international investment and cross-border transactions in Africa, and Elevandi, a company set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the central bank and financial regulatory authority of Singapore.

What to expect:

  • Over 100 speakers and 2,000 participants will exchange ideas and offer solutions on Financial Inclusion and FinTech for Good

Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC) is a financial centre facilitating international investment and cross-border transactions in Africa. With FinTech identified as one of the niche areas for attracting investments, KIFC spearheads an innovation-friendly regulatory environment to attract investment funds and venture capital, driving Africa’s already fast-growing financial technology sector.

Elevandi is set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to foster an open dialogue between the public and private sectors to advance FinTech in the digital economy. Elevandi works closely with governments, founders, investors, and corporate leaders to drive collaboration, education, and new sources of value at industry and national levels. Elevandi’s initiatives have convened over 350,000 people to drive the growth of FinTech through events, closed-door roundtables, investor programmes, educational initiatives, and research. Elevandi’s flagship product is the Singapore FinTech Festival alongside fast-rising platforms, including the World FinTech Festival, Point Zero Forum, Elevandi Insights Forum, the Capital Meets Policy Dialogue, and the Inclusive FinTech Forum.
