Airtel Kenya has launched a new brand campaign focused on building a deeper emotional connection with Kenya’s youthful population.
The newly-launched brand campaign based on a new strapline for Airtel Kenya: ‘A Reason to Imagine’, replaces the “Smartphone Network” strapline. “A Reason to Imagine” aims to showcase Airtel’s focus on providing its Kenyan consumers, especially the youth, with relevant digital and financial solutions to aid them in achieving their full potential in personal and business undertakings.

The ‘A Reason to Imagine’ campaign shows Airtel’s position as an enabler of the dreams and aspirations of young people; it seeks to celebrate the energy, creativity, and innovation of young people in Kenya.
Through the new campaign, the telco is reaffirming its commitment to advance the progress of young people by providing seamless and affordable connectivity to turn every situation into an opportunity.
Airtel Kenya MD Ashish Malhotra said: “I believe the power of this campaign is its ability to inspire the dreams and aspirations of young people. We have consistently enabled youth in the country to achieve their potential through our innovative and affordable products and services. Our new positioning will further enhance the “A Reason to Imagine”your ability to achieve your dreams through our dynamic solutions”.
The ‘A Reason to Imagine’ brand campaign is Airtel’s most ambitious campaign to inspire Kenyan youth to re-imagine their place in the world and to see themselves as capable of achieving great things.
Airtel Africa’s Group Chief Commercial Officer, Anthony Shiner said: “It is a well-known fact that the youth are central to achieving Africa’s potential. More than 60% of Africa’s population is under the age of 25 – and empowering this new generation could be transformative for the future of the continent.”
The campaign builds on Airtel Africa’s recent title sponsorship of The Voice Africa, where Kenya has 8 participants competing in Nigeria. The competition showcases exceptional African musical talent and is one of the initiatives that Airtel has invested in to promote youthful talents and expertise in education, sports, and the innovation sectors.
