Over 10 months ago, in February this year, Samsung introduced its flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S24 series, to the market. However, all the models in the series were premium – in terms of quality, specs and pricing, ranging from Kshs 175,000 to Kshs 277,000.
But as per its tradition, 8 months later – in October 2024 – Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE (Fan Edition) version. This is a practice the brand has maintained for all the flagship devices in the Galaxy stable, introducing models packed with all of the key favorite and premium features, but at a fraction of the cost, after gathering feedback from the brand’s enthusiasts.
Even though the prices of the premium Galaxy S24 smartphones was over Kshs 200,000 on average, the Galaxy S24 FE comes at a more comfortable, ‘modest’, and comparatively less costly rate of Kshs 91,000. With the current state of the economy, coupled with potential customers’ disposable incomes, a budget of below Kshs 100,000 for a premium device is something people can keenly consider, more so those willing to upgrade their mobile experience this festive season.
The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 FE may differ significantly in terms of pricing. However, the two models share a lot in common when it comes to overall design, specs, and inbuilt features.
