Crown Paints has announced a five-year strategic partnership with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQs) that will position the paints firm as the platinum sponsor for BORAQs’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events.
The alliance between the two entities extends beyond traditional CPD seminars, encompassing active engagement with BORAQs members. It aims to foster a culture of sustainable and responsible construction practices, drive research and innovation to propel industry growth, and jointly develop standardized guidelines; primarily paint performance specification matrix for diverse paint project requirements.
“Collaborating with BORAQs aligns with our commitment to advancing Kenya’s construction sector. Together, we aim to set new benchmarks in sustainability and innovation, ensuring that our industry not only grows but thrives responsibly. We have always partnered with like-minded experts to ensure that we give our customers the best of our products,” said Crown Paints vice chairman Hussein Ramji.
As part of this collaboration, Crown Paints will also offer specialized training sessions and workshops for BORAQs members, focusing on the latest advancements in paint technology and sustainable building solutions, a significant step forward in uniting industry leaders to elevate the standards and practices within the country’s construction sector.
The partnership also emphasizes the importance of Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), highlighting the long-term benefits of using high-quality paints to reduce maintenance and support sustainable building practices.
This partnership builds upon Crown Paints’ history of engaging with industry stakeholders. Notably, in May 2023, during BORAQs Annual Conference, where it unveiled its premium granite paint product, emphasizing its dedication to innovation and quality. Additionally, at the beginning of the month on the 13th of February, Crown Paints launched an eco-friendly, water-based, enamel designed paint; Aqua Glow with low-odor, fast drying and with multi-surface compatibility.
“Partnering with Crown Paints brings invaluable expertise to our CPD programs. Their commitment to excellence and sustainability will significantly enhance the professional development of our members and the broader construction community,” said Arch Silvester Muli, BORAQs chairman.
